Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. ~ Mark Twain

*sigh* ... yes, take your time, I've got all day. All the time in the world. No where else to go...

Or maybe the sidewalks. Or at least start driving on the wrong side of the road. That's right, I test drove a car today! This day was looked forward to with much dread (and I'm not just talking about my fellow Londoners -- I was pretty nervous as well).

The sales guy picked me up at the tube station (an hour northbound from our flat), shook my hand and met me with a smile. But that smile soon faded. "I've just recently come over from Canada, and this is my first time driving on the left side of the road," I announced. "Well that scares me," sales guy replies. "You had to pick me didn't you?" My nightmares didn't come true though, because he didn't drive me to Piccadilly Circus in rush hour, hand me the wheel and eject out the sunroof shouting "Bon voyaaaaaaage!" As a true gentleman he drove me a few miles into the country where there was not so much as a cow, and let me into the driver's seat. I momentarily considered developing a nervous tremor in my hands and asking him if he minded us having a word of prayer, but thought that might really be too much for his nerves.

Well it was smooth sailing from there. I even went on a roundabout. No, *three* roundabouts! The brain actually adapts quite quickly since it's all opposite. The only weird thing is hugging the right side of the lane and judging how far over the other side of your car is.

Magic Roundabout? Bring it on!
